2010 Mardi-Crawl-on-Shem-Creek!

The 6th Annual Mardi-Crawl-on-Shem-Creek to benefit the South Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will kick off at 2:00 p.m. at Red's Ice House in beautiful downtown Mount Pleasant on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Advance registration is $20, $25 the day of the event. Check-in and registration is from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Participants receive an official Mardi-Crawl-on-Shem-Creek! Badge, T-shirt and souvenir koozie and will "crawl" from Red's Ice House to R.B.'s Seafood Restaurant to Vickery's Bar & Grill to Water's Edge Restaurant to Shem Creek Bar & Grill and back to Red's (sample schedules will be provided) between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. Parrothead hosts will be at a designated area within each restaurant to reward participants with prizes and gifts, and a chance to buy additional raffle tickets.

One (1) raffle ticket is given with each registration. However; more tickets can be purchased throughout the day and early evening. Drawings will take place at Red's during the after-party.

Red's Ice House will host an after-party starting at 8 p.m. with live music. C'mon out and "party with a purpose" with the Lowcountry Parrotheads and help out the local Alzheimer's Association! Dear Golfer,

It's that time of year again! Parrot Heads in Natural Settings will hold our 13th annual PHINS Open Charity golf tournament at the World Golf Village on June 19, 2010. We have again reserved the Slammer & Squire for the entire day, and you have a choice between an 8:00 am or a 1:30 pm shotgun start.

Proceeds from the tournament will again go to Community PedsCare, a pediatric program of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida that cares for children with life-threatening illnesses or injuries and their families. With your help and the support of our sponsors, we have been able to contribute almost $50,000 in the past five years! Our host hotels are the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort (888-740-7020 and the Comfort Suites (877-940-9501). While you're golfing, your family can enjoy the wonderful amenities of the hotels and the World Golf Village. To receive the discount rate, mention the PHINS Parrot Head Golf Tournament when making your reservations.

Registration starts on Friday evening , June 18, from 5-8pm at the Slammer & Squire Clubhouse, complete with cash bar and Island music. Pick up your goodie bag and browse the exciting raffle and silent auction items. On Saturday, registration for the 8:00a.m. golfers begins at 6:30a.m. at the Slammer & Squire Clubhouse. A lunch buffet will follow the early flight. The 1:30pm golfers start with a lunch buffet at 11:30am at the Clubhouse. After all the golf clubs are put away, the Parrot Heads are Phlocking back to the Clubhouse for hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and live Island music. The party begins at 7:30p.m. Saturday evening . Awards are presented for each flight, including 1st, 2nd and 3 rd place, putting contest, on-course contests and Best Dressed (Parrot Head-style) Team and Best Decorated Cart. Tickets may be purchased for the luncheon and party for your non-golfing friends and family. We are expecting a sell out, so don't delay! Registration is open for the Beaches A1A PHC Beach Bash! (July 16-17)

Tired of cold winter weather? We are too! But we have to summer to look forward to, especially since we have a Beach Bash coming!

Yes, the 14th Annual Betty Teague Memorial Beach Bash & J D Buffett Memorial Volleyball Tournament will be held at the Holiday Inn in St. Augustine Beach this July 16-17th.

This year, the only part of the event that is not being held at the host hotel will be the Volleyball Tournament. You will want to be staying at the host hotel!
